Centraal

Encono

Ref: BC.314
Release date : Marzo 2017
Format:

Four years after their debut album and after twelve months of silence, the Alicante based band Encono, formed by David Acevedo (ex-Qualude) and Iván López, are back with a new album under their arm. The quick and sudden exit of their first drummer Julián Sánchez (Zener, Ansaldo Tropical) meant the permanent incorporation of Víctor Clemente (Los Manises, Sarabix), giving the band stability and finally defining their sound. Thanks to this; the bands musical spectrum opens up towards a forceful and melodic manner, without leaving aside the tension and rage that characterised the bands first album.

Once more, BCore (cornerstone Spanish label home to ‘made in Washington DC’ post hardcore lovers (Shanty Rd, No More Lies, Aina), loads its guns to shoot eight new bul- lets straight at the thalamus. The only, and direct, intention: to provoke confronted stimulus in just under half hour. In “Centraal” you can perceive the immediacy gener- ated by recording live. Unsweetened, rhythmic barbarism. Something similar to the feeling we experience when catching an energetic gulp of oxygen before crossing to the other side of the river.

The trio recorded Centraal during December 2016 at El Miradoor (Alhama de Murcia) with Marco A. Velasco and has been mastered by Martín Ballesta at Last Punch Mastering (Glasgow) in January 2017.
