CORN FLAKES
NO PROBLEM
BC.001
First reference ever by BCore Disc, and, in fact, the album that made the label start, with no intention to become a real label but just pretending to release the songs of a young band that was starting to have a small name in the seminal Barcleona hardcore scene. The band's first songs were fresh, melodic and rageful, showing their love for All and The Descendents.

CORN FLAKES
CHILDISH
BC.007
The classic melodic hardcore album of all times in Spanish scene. After their demo and their legendary debut "No problem", they recorded their strongest material ever. Pop punk at its best. Called "the spanish All" by Maximum Rock and Roll magazine, Corn Flakes is still remembered as the founding stone of the Barcelona melodic hardcore tradition.

CORN FLAKES
DOUBLE BED
BC.025
Third album is more pop oriented than "Childish"; a few songs could have easily appeared in their previous album, but you'll find some others with a more pop approach and catchy melodies close to bands like The Smiths. "Double bed" was a pleasant surprise that reached new people that became die hard fans.

The first long-play by Aina was, in fact, a seven-inch singles compilation: "Uptight" and the split with Rythm Collision plus a third single that was ready to be released and that finally only appeared on this CD. Four more songs and a hidden track made this record one of the most influential in the label's history.

Tokyo Sex Destruction caused a real revolution in the spanish media, never-before that interested in BCore bands. The reason, a band with clear ideas, specialized in a genre that they control perfectly like garage-punk with soul attitude, in a moment when press and audience received them with open arms.

From the depths of Barcelona comes Nueva Vulcano: a rock band without grants, without tricks and without arrays. Formed by Artur (ex-Aina), Wences (ex-Shanty Rd.) and Albert (The Moon Men), they offer us a debut to sit and listen to carefully, to let oneself be shoved by its desperate and anxious atmosphere, where lyrics (in spanish) have a huge weight.

Through the ten new tracks which conform «Orion1s belt», these guys show us the deepest, most painful side of a band that has succeeded in healing their spiritual pains through music. With help of Giant Sand's Susan Voeltz leading a string quartet and Santi Garcia's production, «Orion's belt» has been recorded at Chicago1s Engine studios, and contains such wonders as "Fallen heroes", "Jinniyah" or "Orion's belt". A majestic album for one of the best bands barcelona area has ever given.

One of the most solid concerete pieces of spanish alternative rock. Between the relative dissonance of Washington DC sound and the darkness of early grunge. Since their previous "Accident" (BCore, 2006), vocals are far more beautiful and rich, as they push music upon the sky, while the huge yet minimal rhythm base keeps their feet on the ground; sometimes, down to a hell of convulse magma.

Following the steps of artists like Akron family, the label Anticon and their creative freedom, printing the personality of Standstill's guitar trademark that he created, combining landscapes of ethereal atmosphere with hip-hop bases, bright acoustic guitars and all kinds of percussions, Elvira builds his musical universe through this debut self-production. Featuring his bandmate in Standstill, Ricky Lavado, on some drums, or Marco Fonktana (MC of Aerolíneas Subterraneas), and Víctor Valiente (also in Standstill) helping in the mix.

Third solo album by Jeremy Enigk, Sunny Day Real Estate's and The Fire Theft's frontman. His more "rock-sounding" album since "The Rising Tide" is a comeback to his previous projects' sound. Performed by spanish musicians and produced by Santi Garcia and Ricky Falkner at Ultramarinos Costa Brava studios, Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Released on CD by Lewis Hollow Records, licensed in Spain by Cydonia Records and LP version for Europe by BCore.

From Argentina, now living in Bilbao, a true rock 'n roll band, where attitude and lifestyle are the main points along with passion for their music beyond hypes and trends, with the urgency of living fast and exploring all the corners of the world before it's too late. For lovers of dark and psychedelic rock 'n roll punk as The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, early David Bowie or Television.

Elías Egido (ex-Standstill and ex-E-150) makes his debut with a new project of instrumental music that combines the classic sound of filmscore masters like Lalo Schifrin, John Barry or Enio Morricone with the experimentation of classics like John Zorn/Electric Masada or modern outfits like Tortoise. Collaborations of musicians from It's Not Not, Dead Capo or Same Old. Some have already labeled it as "FilmCore".

Compilation of the two cassettes "Estoc de pus" (1984) and "El cubo de basura" (1985) by Kangrena, one of the most remarkable bands of Barcelona's punk scene in the early, eighties, remastered from the original 1/4-inch tapes by Santi and Victor Garcia at Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studios, Sant Feliu de Guíxols. For lovers of Crass, Sex Pistols, Discharge, Damned or early Exploited, rageful and dirty punk at its best.

Noisy and black poetry, ellegant and subtile, moncohromatic and atmospheric They drink from masters like The Jesus & Mary Chain or My Bloody Valentine, but also from the Manchester sound, from Stone Roses or Primal Scream. Though their special personality comes from punk, soul and garage, as this is the background of half of the band, who are renouned and active members of Barcelona's scene: RJ Sinclair, singer of Tokyo Sex Destruction and bass player of It's Not Not, and Graham, Dj of the well-known Apolo [2] dancehall of Barcelona.

These four generals of the almighty Great God Tiki get forward without a quarter with their second instrumental album, more dance-able, more mature and richer in composition. "El Ejército de las Calaveras" shows us a direct band, solid and tight, hungry for power. The crystal reverb, the party-time melodies, martial strength and unlimited fun are the pillars of their conquest plans, showing themselves more versatile and stylistically diverse for this time.

Compilation of unreleased recordings and hard-to-find material of some of the most influential punk-hardcore bands of the early eighties' Barcelona scene: Frenopaticss, Attak, Kangrena, Sentido Común and Código Neurótico. Features the original artwork made in 1989, as this vinyl LP was planned to be released 20 years ago by La Isla de la Tortuga label.

TSD have found the time to improve their musical discourse, maybe by the experience acquired, maybe by Gregg Foreman's (The Delta 72, Cat Power) divine intervention as producer and keyboardist. 7 years after their debut, they come up with their best record yet. A huge album that well-deserved the spanish band that has played outside Spain in more occasions than in Spain!

HHH was one of the most popular and influential spanish bands ever, and we've found for this LP such interesting things like their very first demotape ever, "Sin identidad", their single "Intelectual punks" and finally the outtakes from those recording sessions that were never released. All this on a special limited vinyl LP.

We were starting to be impatient about The New Raemon's new stuff, as we've been singing along compulsively the songs of his amazing debut "A propósito de Garfunkel" (BCore, 2008). "La dimensión desconocida" brings us a bunch of new songs, with the same beauty, cleverness in lyrics, delicate melodies and lush arrangements as those we found in the debut, but with some really interesting novelties.

Amazing lyrics by someone like Artur, who simply can't imitate anyone, so he has to make up his own language; also their trademark sound of dirty and sometimes shy guitar playing, those monumental bass arrangements by the genious talent of Wences Aparicio, and those drums, possessed by some devil, by Albert Guardia. All of these elements make a unique ensemble, that shines brighter than ever on Nueva Vulcano's third and definitive album.

Vinyl LP release of the first cassette "Estoc de pus" (1984) by Kangrena, one of the most remarkable bands of Barcelona's punk scene in the early, eighties, remastered from the original 1/4-inch tapes by Santi and Victor Garcia at Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studios, Sant Feliu de Guíxols. For lovers of Crass, Sex Pistols, Discharge, Damned or early Exploited, rageful and dirty punk at its best.

Edu Ugarte (Half Foot Outside, Underhill Records) has joined efforts with Juan Maravi (Sök) to start this new project, inspired by american folk-rock, with spanish lyrics, personal and smart, and a warm, ellegant and rich musical base, with collaborations by Hans Krüger (Delorean, Half Foot Outside) in the recording, Kenneth Ishak (Beezewax) in the mix, and Brian Hunt (Russian Red, Anni B. Sweet) in mastering.

Joan Colomo gives a revolutionary twist to the Spanish and Catalan songwritting. We discover a master of the protest song, away from the canons of rock to dig deep into acoustic instruments, orchestral arrangements, sometimes circus-cabaret winks. Joan Colomo has found a new vehicle of expression, probably the most personal and intimate of many that has driven in his prolific musical career, certainly ranking him as one of the most authentic, brilliant and innovative singer-songwritters of our music scene.

This new album features again the values of the '60s music: imagination, freedom, beauty, love and experimentation. But we are in the 21st century, and even though their influences and taste is crystal clear, you won't find here any revival, nor pop, rock or folk mimesis. "Revolución Solar" is a psychedelic pop album, tribal, deep and beautiful, where they have taken a bit of all of their influences to build a wonderful album from the begginning until the end.

After the now defunct Oniric project, Maria takes a new path. Her guitar and voice are leading now the new compositions and Maria changes moniker to her full name Maria Rodes, joining forces with producer Ricky Falkner as a confident partner. Her singing is like a gentle whisper, straight to your ears, travellling from your ear to your nervous system like a sweet and mischievous tranquilizer, seducing without cheesy sensuality, with a tender and magnetic discretion, like a voice that tells a fairy tale without a happy ending, uncomplaining and serene behind the torment of her inner demons. An unvaluable wonder, frail, close and fully captivating.

Three new songs amongst their best material and three covers for the B-Side. "La mesa redonda", "Cuaresma" and "Nemesis II" are new pieces of his own particular universe of delusion, frustration, personal redemption and deep self-counsciousness. The three covers: "Te debo un baile" by his labelmates Nueva Vulcano, "M'agradaria ser un lemur" by catalan cult-songwriter Estanislau Verdet, and the naked version of another catalan classic like Lluis Llach and his "Que tinguem sort", recorded by Ramon himself in his room.

These Madrid kids, true fans of Drive Like Jehu, Beastie Boys and The Beatles, know to have a very good good time and enjoy what their doing with passion. They are Challenger and they are back with "Ümelsion" (Bcore Disc/ Carnús Records), their second recording after their debut on Arindelle records ("Dilitid"). An album with the right outburst of rage, musical balance and sonic harshness in a perfect blend delivered in such interesting songs as "30 days of night" or "Lars (Revisited". Mixed by Stephen Egerton (Descendents, All)

The Mistake come from the Canary Islands, and, right or wrong, we can't help relating their music to the peculiar warm climate that sourrounds that archipelago. Maybe because of the deep yet etheral way Dani sings, maybe because the atmosphere created by those beautiful guitars and bass, maybe because the heat that the drums give off, you'll like them if you like Death Cab For Cutie, "Clarity"-era Jimmy Eat World or even The Cure.

Not so many drummers can have the sense of order, dynamics, detail and ferocity at the same time as Marcos has. And that perfectly technical and soaring bass as played by Pablo. And the schizoid guitar playing and visceral singing of Jose, that make the whole a combination of musical smartness and attitude dirtiness. A totally modern way to approach to rock and roll.

Born in 1984, they quickly showed their differences with other bands of their generation, as they improved the complexity of music and the philosophical-literary value of their lyrics, far from the typical political slogans of the other punk bands, but far more introspective and humanistic. This LP contains, for the first time in vinyl, their debut tape "GRB" (Drama del Horror, 1985) and their vinyl EP "¡Estoy tan contento!" (self-released, 1986).

This CD has the mission to gather their first two EPs "La invasión de los ultracuerpos" (BCore/Cydonia, 09) and "Cuaresma" (BCore/Cydonia, 10), and put them together as a culmination of these intense two years of music. And, of course, features even more new tunes, some interesting covers, remixes and collaborations that will be only featured on this CD.

Considered a reference recording for European punk, "Anti Todo" (1985) has been out of print for years due to legal issues between the band and their old record company, finally we've been able to recover the original masters, that have been re-worked by Xavi Navarro. Also the original artworkand liner notes by Pablo Cabeza, with lyrics and pictures. One of the main pillars to understand Spanish punk along with Spanish society at that time.
